Repetti presents a solo exhibition of 12 new paintings by Ben Pritchard.
The artist describes this new work as, “a group of highly individuated but interconnected paintings, perhaps they’re best described as subjective portraits of contemporary experience. They’re constructed only to the point of improvisation; they all have a bit of the unknowing in them. Hopefully they resolve as ideas or abstract portraits about the world.”
Born in Detroit in 1970, Ben attended the New York Studio School before moving to London for a postgraduate diploma from the Royal Academy of Arts. Recently his work has been shown in London, at the Wiebke Morgan gallery, and at the Jerwood Contemporary Painters 2010 exhibition. One of Repetti’s core artists, Ben has been living in London for the past three years.
