AL-GHAIB: The Aesthetics of Disappearance is an international show curated by Gaia Serena Simionati. It was first organized in Sharjah, the third-largest of the United Arab Emirates, and will now appear at Stux Gallery in New York from June 30-August 30, 2011 in an updated version. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience contemporary Islamic art, and to understand the different perspectives that this work can offer to a Western audience.
