BETA:round forty brings together a group of twelve international artists currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts degree at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
The exhibition seeks to illuminate the interstitial spaces in these artists investigations of material, space, image, object, and action through diverse cross-disciplinary practices. Sculpture, painting, printmaking, performance, installation, and varying degrees of hybrid practices will be presented.
The strategies that unify the works of this group of artists, while not necessarily intentional, are clearly present. Through coordinating the works of this diverse international group, we intend to draw attention to the nuance of influence present while working within closed communities.
