Starting at the Edge examines the idea of drawing as a contemporary medium and discipline. A line inherently defines boundaries, signifying differences or similarities, where something stops or essentially begins to unfold. It can also denote time as well as inhabit particular spaces in time. Subsequently drawings manifest themselves through the juxtaposition and accumulation of these lines and marks. The fifteen artists in this exhibition explore the sublime poetry of the everyday and the sometime ineffable nature of time, space and pictorial language in delightful and surprising ways using diverse mediums and attitudes all rooted in the idea of drawing.
