Riverdale’s only contemporary Art Gallery, Elisa Tucci Contemporary Art ihas joined in the celebration to mark the 400th Anniversary of Henry Hudson’s voyage up the (now) Hudson River with a new exhibit.

Hudson River Rediscovered: Two Creative Journeys, a homage to the majestic and historic river by two artists opens at the Elisa Tucci Contemporary Art Gallery features two New York State painters, renowned Mount Kisco-based painter Elaine Galen and, rising artist Sharon Gordon, a resident of Syracuse.

About Elaine Galen:

Elaine Galen is internationally revered for her landscapes of historic and sacred places, both local Hudson Valley scenes, as well as explorations of the American Southwest, Southern France, Umbria , and ancient deserts of Jordan and Israel . Her Hudson River-inspired paintings and works on paper span 40 years of discovery, including several recent works such as “Angry River Ghost” and “Boscobel Study”.

Her painting of Boscobel was recently acquired by the Hudson Valley’s Hospital Center as part of the “Art for Healing” program.

Elaine’s work is in the permanent collections of numerous museums worldwide including the Neuberger Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art and Israel Museum, as well as corporate and private collections.
