Lit in red neon over the Delaware River, Trenton Makes the World Takes is the adopted slogan of the city of Trenton, N.J. Offered by the circumstance of a shared name, Trenton’s manufacturing martyrdom is the appropriated setting for Trenton Duerksen’s exhibition of exotic sculptures culled from the heart of the American interior.

Trenton Duerksen was born in Kansas and lives and works in New York City. Recent exhibitions include a solo show with Galerie Parisa Kind in Frankfurt, Germany in 2004 and Greater New York at P.S.1 in 2005. This is his first solo exhibition with Guild & Greyshkul.
