LOL, a multi-media exhibition curated by Larry Walczak, has its opening reception on Saturday, March 13, 2010, 6-8pm at City Without Walls (cWOW), 6 Crawford Street, Newark, NJ. The exhibition remains on view through May 7, 2010 and is free and open to the public Thursdays through Saturdays 1-6pm.

LOL explores humor in visual story telling. The artists’ lives, the role of media, and the recession are dominant themes throughout the exhibition. The exhibition includes photography, collage, video installations, and works in other media by Thomas Broadbent, Lyman Dally, Amy Hill, David Kramer, Paul Kuhrman, Nate Larson, Lisa Levy, Edward Monovich, Marni Shindelman, and Jim Torok.

Larry Walczak is a mixed-media artist and educator who has curated over fifty exhibitions in the greater New York metropolitan area, throughout the United States, and in Europe. Larry recently completed a ten-year curatorial project entitled “eyewash”, which was based in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.
