The German title of the show Bushwick Schlach! (Bushwick Battle!), refers to the original conception for the show: a battle/collaboration between painters with the idea of creating interrelations between each individual work, sourced from different aesthetics but within a similar medium. Like a DJ battle, that creates sound from action and reaction and so forth, this painting battle would create new visual experiences through addition and accumulation.
