This is Dorfman’s forty-fifth one-person show during the past five decades throughout the U.S. and abroad. Eight large-scale combined media paintings and 12 combined media works under glass, created largely between 2009 and 2010, will be displayed throughout both floors of Kouros Gallery. Dorfman’s art has received extensive coverage in a wide range of periodicals, catalogues and monographs worldwide. Writing for the catalogue produced for his 2008 exhibition at Kouros Gallery, art critic Phyllis Braff stated, “The full scope of Dorfman’s recent work underscores his dual focus in creating a strong art experience through structure and through intriguingly sensuous luminosity… iconoclastic treatments of space, and the expressionistic possibilities of interactive reflections.”
