Andrew Kreps Gallery is pleased to present Instead of Being Lucky our second solo exhibition with Irish artist Pádraig Timoney.

Timoney’s practice encompasses a variety of platforms through his use of differing media and materials. His practice challenges audiences by presenting a diverse group of works without an easily apparent bond; giving the viewer the impression that they could be viewing a group exhibition rather than a solo show.

For Instead of Being Lucky Timoney will again present the viewer with an array of paintings, photographs and sculpture. Drawing from his personal experiences this diverse grouping results in subject matter with intermingling themes ranging from the charged political atmosphere of his youth to the idyllic surroundings of his current Mediterranean home in Naples, Italy.
