Pelham Art Center presents a group show of still life works by contemporary artists encompass a variety of subjects and artistic media, representing the on-going vitality and diversity of the still life tradition. Works are based in an observation of the material world, and yet rather than a faithful representation of inanimate objects, it is our ever-changing relationship with things that is their subject. Reality, inquiry and the nature of experience are important ideas for these works.
Artists include Richard Baker, William Behnken, Raymon Elozua, Amy Forsyth and Mark Sfirri, Sally Friedman, David Goldes , Tom Gregg, Cynthia Greig, Myungjin Kim, Kevin Klein, Martin Klimas, David Kroll, Sarah Lamb, Andrew Lattimore, Leigh Taylor Mickelson, Howard Nathenson, Randall Rosenthal, Scott Seaboldt, Anat Shiftan, Richard E. Tuttle, Michiko Yao.
