Frederico Sève Gallery proudly presents our summer salon, The Machine Eats an exhibition of hybridized multiples that combine: video, marble sculpture, live streaming video, sound, photography, painting, prints, DIY, strategies for intervention, installation, fax machines, computer programs, participation, objects of redundant consumption, internationally portable theories, industrial materials, chance, luminosity, instructions, and slugs.

Inspired by the above artists’ ambitious pursuits of poetry, beauty and humor in the midst of the confounding limits of theory, The Machine Eats celebrates their expansions of the index, their humane interventions through the vehicle of nature, of will and desire, into the social frontiers of institutions, eco-politics, identity, space, time, distribution, the market & logistics. Merging medias and materials, old technologies and new, these artists are international theorists in their own right. Their dialogues expand the vocabulary of what is a multiple, call into question who is consuming and what is being consumed, and in the spirit of internationalism insist on the convergence of formalism & social narrative.
