chashama presents an exhibition by Ryan Vincent Brennan and Daniel Ghost Cassidy at the Donnell Library Window Space.
The windows of the Donnell Library will be the host of a visual labyrinth that encouragesthe public to find its way through by means of a systematic series of questions proposed in the form of visual metaphors and riddles.
Employing a fun and satirical take onthe language of scientific surveys, this visuallabyrinth is designed to both utilize and challenge facets of psychology, astrology, and religion that attempt to categorize thehuman condition into a few distinct personality types. As the viewers move from left to right, they are challenged with thought-provoking visual questions — sometimes whimsical, satirical, and abstract. In the end, each individual will reach a conclusion offering various pseudo-scientific and spiritual explanations and advice. The experience offered has the potential to be not only self-revelatory but it also proposes the possibility of a communal sense of discovery.
