The Way That I Want You to Die will feature new works by Brooklyn-based Dalek. For this exhibition, Dalek’s Space Monkey character encounters vibrant geometric landscapes, mysterious holes and futuristic battles. The Space Monkey was born out of graffiti, but quickly transcended the genre into paintings, toys, silkscreens and housewares. A self-taught painter, Dalek discovered graffiti in 1994 in the rail yards of California and later Chicago. In addition to working as an assistant to Takashi Murakami, Dalek’s work has been shown in numerous galleries across the United States and in Japan, England, Canada and France.
