The Manhattan Graphics Center is pleased to present an exhibition of Jaz Graf’s recent prints and artists books. Graf’s recent series “Eviscera” stems from latin words -e (ex) meaning ‘out’ and viscera meaning ‘internal organs.’ Using old sketchbooks and journals as a base, content is transcribed and printed onto muslin which envelops its internal frame. Graf’s methodical technique and meditative process are introspective in nature utilizing printmaking as the medium.
