Dear Friends & Capricious Space Patrons:

In March, we will unfortunately have to close Capricious Space on Broadway, in Brooklyn. We have had a tremendous three years where we have showcased amazing artists and curators, and stayed close to our mission to create a sanctuary for emerging artists.

We have loved every minute, every artist, and we are grateful for the success we have had. We are sad to leave.

We are seeing this as an opportunity to grow in other ways. Capricious Space will continue to exist but take the shape of Capricious Presents, a series of international exhibitions with shows in Amsterdam, Sao Paulo, Arnhem, NYC, the Catskills and Stockholm, all during 2011.

In the coming year, we will also move into a nearby studio space, and focus on our publications; Capricious Magazine and Randy, as well as a monograph by K8 Hardy. So a new adventure will begin and Capricious Space will take new shape!

We are celebrating this bittersweet moment with a group exhibit – a soiree including over 30 artists who have been involved in Capricious in one way or another: The Show Must Go On.
