In conjunction with ARMORY NIGHT – BROOKLYN & the WGA (Williamsburg Gallery Association), Capricious will remain open after hours and invites you to view continuous screening of emerging artist Arielle Falk’s new video work THROWING PAINS.
THROWING PAINS is a video meditation on the pain of anger. In a generalized act of aggression, Falk throws tomatoes, one by one, at an off screen target. With each throw, she is simultaneously hit by several tomatoes coming from all directions, gradually staining her white clothing in bloody red.
For more information about the artist and her work, visit: www.ariellefalk.com
Also on view is Capricious Space’s final exhibition (which closes the following day) titled THE SHOW MUST GO ON. It includes the work of over 30 young artists who have been involved in Capricious over the last several years.
