StandPipe Gallery, a new, emerging arts gallery at 150 West 25th Street, announces the opening of “Encounters,” a solo exhibition of recent painting by New York artist Xanda McCagg. McCagg’s deftly crafted, deconstructive abstractions evoke both early Modernism and the Abstract Expressionist tradition. The opening reception will be held Thursday, March 17th, from 6-8PM. The exhibition continues through Saturday, April 9th.
