StandPipe Gallery, a new, emerging arts gallery at 150 West 25th Street, announces the opening of “Amistad: New Work by Thierry Alet”. A graduate of the Institut régional d’art visuel of Martinique, Alet’s boldly inscribed manugraphic canvases have been collected and exhibited throughout the world. Alet is also founding director of Frère Independent, the international artists advocacy group, and organizer of the Open Portfolio and PooL Art Fairs. Amistad opens Thursday, April. 14, from 6-8 p.m. Show runs through May 7.
