“It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.”

-George Orwell (1984)

Vaudeville Park is pleased to present April Sky, an exhibition of the work of four artists whose explorations of dislocation, atomization and synthesis converge. In an atmosphere evoked by the blankness of a white sky in early spring, the artists in this show all build their imagery through the accretion of discrete parts into new wholes.

April Sky include work by: Theresa Bloise, Amy Casey, Gina Ruggeri and Brian Zegeer. NY-based painter Maya Brym curated the show, and Vaudeville Park founder Ian M. Colletti has created a sound piece for the opening reception. For more information please visit www.vaudevillepark.org.

Theresa Bloise and Maya Brym are 2010 Artists’ Fellowship recipients of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). Theresa will give a slide lecture about her work at Vaudeville Park on Saturday, April 30 at 8:00pm, followed by a closing reception. This presentation is co-sponsored by Artists & Audiences Exchange, a public program administered by NYFA with leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts.
