Robert Miller Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of abstract paintings and works on paper created in the past two years by Robert Greene. Greene’s process is a remix where something new is created from the repositioning of individual materials. The works are oil paint on acid free vellum, cut out and applied to quarter-inch-thick aluminum panels that hang flush with the wall. Light and atmosphere shine through the color and texture. Memory and individual dialogues are evoked. Each work is titled after a person or reminiscence, alluding to portraiture and intimacy through formal means.
