The Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation is proud to be partnering with Sotheby’s for our 2011 Contemporary Art Auction. This year’s auction will feature 24 works of art by top Contemporary Artists including Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Richard Pettibone, Donald Baechler, Julian Opie and Mr. Brainwash.

The Silent Auction will take place at Sotheby’s in New York City and will open for viewing and bidding on May 17th at 10am. Final bids must be made by 1pm on May 20th.

CCBF will host a Private Cocktail Preview at Sotheby’s on May 19th from 6:30-8:30pm. Suggested donation $50. Please RSVP to the event by emailing [email protected] or by calling 212 297 4336.

Acquisitions will be free of the buyer’s premium, allowing all sale proceeds to go to the CCBF. Buyers need not be present to bid and can place absentee bids by visiting the CCBF website and filling out an absentee bid form.

Artists include: Rita Ackermann, Donald Baechler, Larry Bell, Mel Bochner, Mr. Brainwash, Faile, Jasper Johns, Li Tianbing, James Nares, Julian Opie, Enoc Perez, Richard Pettibone, Bosco Sodi, Keith Sonnier and William Wegman among others.

Proceeds from the CCBF Contemporary Art Auction support the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. CCBF support ensures that no child is turned away for treatment, regardless of his or her ability to pay.
