In conjunction with “Isabella Kirkland: Nova Paintings,” Carl J. Ferrero will be exhibiting a new, site-specific project upfront. “I See You In My Head” consists of science-fiction and war-themed watercolors paired with strings of handmade paper flags hung with pins. Strangely foreboding and evocative of danger, the installation weaves a narrative thread about the absurdity of being alive.

Carl J. Ferrero lives and works in Brooklyn, and has shown his work at Artists Space, LACE/Los Angeles, the Elizabeth Foundation Gallery, and Exile, Berlin. He was awarded a grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts for this project.
