Playing with the concept of ‘subversive cross-stitch’ this Harlem-based artist, Patrick Perry, fuses traditional cross-stitch design with grossly pejorative anti-gay slurs that both seduces and repulses the viewer ultimately forcing them to explore their own feelings of attraction, comfort, disgust and guilt.
