Coins, Codes & Choreography Prints by Hilary North @ the Manhattan Graphics Center On view from June 3 – July 24, 2011
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm All are welcome!
Hilary’s statement: I am grateful to be part of the Manhattan Graphics Center creative community because of all the beauty, skill and originality I see all around me every time I come to the studio.
My favorite time is the moment when the paper is peeled back from the plate, and I find out what I have captured. One of the wonders of printmaking is that even when I think I know what to expect, the results can surprise me.
My artwork is in the permanent collections of The Library of Congress, the New-York Historical Society, the New York Public Library and the Africana Studies & Research Center at Cornell University. I am honored to be included in the art collection of The National September 11 Memorial & Museum that will open on 9/11/11.
