Brooklyn based performance collective BabySkinGlove will transform culturefix gallery into a fantastical version of an artist’s living room during Løök: A Retrospective of the Future. On the walls of this installation will be photography by artist Anna Beeke of backstage rituals performed by BabySkinGlove members. For these two weeks, members of BabySkinGlove will echo familiar art movements throughout history such as German Expressionism, Folk Art, Old Hollywood, Dadaism, Classical Renaissance, New Age, and Minimalism. The performers will inhabit the transformed gallery, leading workshops and hosting performances. Highlighted performances include an art salon inspired by Louise Borgeouis in which audience members are encouraged to bring their work to be critiqued, a wine tasting led by professional sommelier Justine Sterling of low grade alcohol (think Carlo Rossi and two buck chuck), a Butoh Auction, a multi-course dinner party, and much more.
Multiple Performances daily
