‘Little Memories’, by Andrea Wolf, is a series of tiny, intimate video installations using super 8 home movies and found-footage. Little mock-ups and found objects are combined with projections and video mapping to create intimate souvenirs that reflect on how fleeting memories are brought back to us. Each piece is a self-contained object and they are often placed in corners, and in such way that one ‘finds’ them rather than having them displayed as spectacle, again playing with the notion of nostalgia and treasure that memory entails.

Andrea Wolf is a Brooklyn based artist interested in the subjects of time, memory, and image, the devices of remembrance that we produce, and the relationship between high tech and low tech. Through film, video, interactive narratives, and video installations, she tackles these matters, representing the tension between remembering and forgetting. By working with found super 8 home movies, with anonymous stories, she leaves an open space to be filled by the meaning that each of us brings to the work, through our personal experience. Andrea has an MFA in Documentary Filmmaking, an MFA in Digital Arts, and a MPA in Interactive Telecommunications. She has shown her work in different venues such as Media Lab Madrid; Fundacion Telefónica, Video and New Media Art Biennale 2009 – Contemporary Art Museum, Sala de Arte CCU, Museum of Memory and Human Rights, Santiago, Chile; Scholes 319, Poetry Club, Yashar Gallery, and Local Projects, New York.
