Alexcalibur, Amanda Curtis, Brendan Coyle, and Elbis Rever will be the featured performers for the opening night of “Inflorescence of Sparkling Evil,” a multimedia art exhibition that explores themes of cultural decay and the resurgence of the primitive within a technologically advanced society. Against a mechanized backdrop of video forestry, the performers will compliment a sparking array of assemblages and installations designed to create a mythological atmosphere in the salon-styled gallery of A Gathering of the Tribes. Performances by Alexcalibur and Elbis Rever will approach something similar to Rock-&-Roll, but with a polished, tech-savvy edginess about them; Amanda Curtis and Brendan Coyle will challenge all pre-fab conceptions of what narrative performance art is capable of.
