In this body of work, artist Reginald Jones II combines representations of words and figures to create hybridized images that speak to the infinite possibilities in a world governed by subatomic chaos. In these pieces both the word and the figure maintain their integrity giving the work a tension evident in the bold use of colors and linear arrangements of space.
Originally from Denver, artist Reginald Jones II has continued to push new forms of visual expression through illustration, painting and print media. Though trained as a young professional rather than a young creative, Reggie exhibited an innate artistic ability early in his life. This talent was cultivated from time spent with peers and through the freelance work that he pursued after graduating from Colorado State University. Since that time, Reggie has done design work for wide variety of clients including public and private universities, restaurants, clothing companies and other businesses such as STARZ! Entertainment. Reggie has also had his work published in Illiterate and Next Level Magazine. In addition to these achievements Reggie has spent time organizing art workshops in the Denver Public School System. His work straddles the physical and metaphysical, organic and architectural, painterly and graphic, in a way that has forged a new aesthetic language.
