This exhibition showcases the last 5 years of RBPMW’s 63-year publications program. Like our community workshop, the roster of published artists is an energizing mix. Each artist works with total artistic freedom in an intense collaboration with printers – whether it’s a 64 block, 7 color, intaglio wiped, relief rolled woodcut with Glen Baldridge or printing 4,000 sheets of paper to be cut into 20,000 pieces to complete a Chakaia Booker chine-collé edition. It’s challenging and exhilarating – providing non-printmakers the security to explore and immerse themselves in printmaking while providing printers the opportunity to experiment.

Processes range from lithography, to intaglio, to laser cut woodblocks to mixed media and objects. The prints have no aesthetic unity. What binds it all together is a love for printmaking and a committed desire by each of these artists to just make good art.

Featured artists:

Glen Baldridge, Chakaia Booker, Bruce Davenport Jr., Barbara Foster, Mike Houston, Steve Johnson, Jose Antonio Suarez Londono, Eddie Martinez, Martin Mazorra, John L Moore, Jenny Schmid, Tom Spleth & Chris Uphues.
