A two-part group show featuring 22 artists who are dealing with this time of year in many different ways. The show recreates a family room from our collective past that sets a stage for all of the art to exist together. The featured artwork is done by a loose-knit network or “family” of artists from all over the country and explores the idea of what family means to all of us during these winter months where our own families are inescapable.

This show also investigates the transition out of the buzzing blur of holiday glee and into the dreary glum of January by exhibiting in two parts. The first will be presented in December and the second in January, with all new work by the same group of artists reflecting the change in moods of the different months. The installation will also change in subtle ways from month to month, allowing for the show to have a dialogue with itself over time.
