Claudia Cannizzaro hours: 1-6pm A special viewing of Claudia Cannizzaro’s embroidered sentences extracted from the 2003 Guantanamo Bay Camp Delta GITMO SOP manual on how to prep detainees for intelligence interrogations, an unclassified document leaked on the internet by Wikileaks in 2007. The artist selected the most absurd, funny, if not utterly disturbing and cruel, sentences from the manual, and embroidered them on black and white and grey American faded flags that she painted. The sentences are randomly matched on each flag; one in place of the stars, and one written within the stripes.
