The exhibition will focus on contemporary Asian artists in New York from China, Japan and Korea in dialogue with each other and with artists who have either been born in the United States or have been raised here. By pairing a Chinese artist with a Chinese-American artist, a Korean artist with a Korean-American artist and a Japanese artist with a Japanese-American artist, I hope to show-in microcosm-new, richer, more complex systems of cultural influence and exchange.
