The idea for this show derived from noticing process-related byproducts and scraps at studio visits, which themselves struck me as unintended works of art. The show idea solidified as Kris Graves and I began to explore the themes of alienation and dissolution. In some pieces, remnants of the process of creation will be featured, as will works that have become artwork indirectly through the process of creation or abandonment. SEPARATION will feature installation work, painting, photography and sculpture.
