آن( Pronounced AAN like On or Un) in Farsi means “that which is not close, but not that far away”. You sense it’s nearness but cannot touch it.
Celebrating the second episode of the Video Vaudeville MNN TV series, featuring a night of incredible video works and art by Iranian artists curated by Katayoun Vaziri.
Including Barbad Golshiri, Carnival Tehran, Gelareh Khoshgozaran, Golnaz Esmaili, Mohammad Hosseini, Mohammad Shirvani, Shahab Fotouhi, Zeinab Shahidi Marnani and Zeynab Izadyar.
Presented works contemplate on notions of Silence, Autonomy and Absurdity.
We hope you make it out, to view these rare and moving pieces, they were difficult to obtain, and very exciting to see.
Katayoun Vaziri as an artist is presented by Meulensteen gallery. Besides her art practice, in her resume she has curatorial projects such as Hand Held History video summit at Queens Museum(2010) and Futuro Perfecto( 2011) at Zora Space in New York.
