On Thursday, November 17th the New York Studio School’s Alumni Association is hosting a reception featuring recent graduate work in painting, sculpture and multimedia. Come check it out from 6-9pm.

Sculptor John Newman is this year’s Alumni Exhibition Juror. A native New Yorker, Newman received his MFA from the Yale School of Art in 1975. He is a Guggenheim Fellow as well as a recipient of the Rome Prize Fellowship and the Joan Mitchell Award. Newman’s work is in many public and private collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate Gallery and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
