Time, familiarity, and absolution comprise the language of mixed media artist Julian Lorber’s recent works which are layered with intimate and meticulous drawing, paint, and acetate. While maintaining a mindful eye on the history of painting, Lorber commits to the new and objectively questions both modernist, and commercial processes through visual tension, humor, and self deprecation.
