New York, November 16, 2011 – The New York Center for Art and Media Studies (NYCAMS) presents its fall undergraduate show All of last night and most of today opening Friday, December 2. The exhibition features sculpture, photography, drawing, design, and video work by 19 artists who have spent the semester living and working in New York City.
All of last night & most of today brings together artists with unique approaches to the act of making itself. The work represented in the show deals with a variety of concerns such as feminism, pop culture, time, loss, memory, abstraction and narrative. The title refers to a transitional passage between past and present work and the immersive experience of their shared semester in New York.
Through an evolved sense of community inside the studio and classroom, the artists have discussed and influenced each other’s practice. Their commitment to an ongoing process of critique and refinement is central to the works on view in the thesis exhibition.
