Etchings and collographs
This exhibition of my recent work consists of a series of etchings and collographs created in 2010- 2011. This series was born out of my interest in the biological forms of the Taraxacum officinale, the common dandelion. I found within these forms natural patterns and designs that are delightful and inspiring, opening for me a door of revelations- an unseen world that is so close and at the same time so far away from our everyday life. Delving into these forms we can travel into a world beyond whose borders only the microscopist can penetrate. I have tried by means of my prints and personal vision to present some of the incredible beauty and complexity of this plant world.
