Drawing continues to evolve as the art world blurs distinctions between genre and media. In this exhibition, Cuban artists are presented who work with putting pen to paper, however, the work goes beyond line drawing and sketching to a range of detailed, frenetic, and simple depictions. In the case of Jose Emilio Fuentes (JEFF), Manuel Pardo and Pedro Vizcaino, the three artists employ imagery from childhood or more precisely the inner child. Each takes a distinctive approach to the subject and are connected by a basis in drawing and also Cuban heritage.
