Leonard Tourné Gallery, in collaboration with Spoon, invites you the opening reception of Colombian artist Venuz White and her first solo exhibition in New York of two bodies of work, Vaho y Sideral.

White, best known for her vibrant, abstract paintings that resemble the cosmos, created the Vaho series with her own breath, producing an investigation of color, its movement and its evolution. Vaho is complemented by Sideral, which combines videos and lightboxes, together a complilation of new pictoral techniques based largely on the origin of the universe and its creation.

White’s work has been exhibited in San Francisco, Madrid, New York City and El Museo de Arte Moderno in Medellín, Colombia. She received her bachelor of fine arts in 2002 from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia and completed coursework in 1997 at the Art Atelier, University of California, Berkley, and at the Liberal Arts College of Marin, California.

The exhibition at Leonard Tourné Gallery will run from March 8 to March 29. For more information, please call 212-219-2656.
