How would an itinerant museum function? How would a reflexive museum behave as it mutates from one context to the next? These and similar questions were asked to a group of artists, architects, curators, and other cultural producers, shaping an exhibition in the form of a publication, which is rearticulated in Art in General’s Gallery 4 along with a series of intimate public conversations.
Re-Shuffle: Notions of an Itinerant Museum is organized by Markus Thór Andrésson, Kirin Buckley, Max Hernández Calvo, Özkan Cangüven, Ruba Katrib, Florencia Malbrán, Kate McNamara, Laura Mott, Rebeca Noriega-Costas, Amy Owen, Chen Tamir, and Emily Zimmerman, students in the first-year practicum of the master’s degree program at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, New York (CCS). They developed the publication-as-exhibition with Joshua Decter, an independent curator and faculty member at CCS.
