EunJin Kim: The Broken Chair

This May 17th, COOHAUS will feature the first US solo exhibition of the work of EunJin Kim. Kim is figurative painter/sculptor whose distinct style towards ceramic works expands viewer with intimately surreal and abstract looks. She choose subjects ranging from everyday furniture like chair and table to a more recent fascination with the male and female body parts. The exhibition at COOHAUS will present a group of works from this latest series.

EunJin Kim was born in 1983 in Seoul. She Received her BFA from Hong-Ik University and MFA from New York University. Her work has been shown through out in Seoul, Berlin and New York. She currently lives and works in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
