PAVEL ZOUBOK GALLERY invites you to a group exhibition of works that build upon and redefine traditional modes of landscape, from reconstructed representations of the familiar to environments of pure fantasy.

I’LL TAKE YOU THERE explores the subject of landscape through the work of fifteen artists who employ aspects of Collage to construct landscapes using materials as diverse as crayons, postcards, puzzles, maps and all manner of printed ephemera. Whether imagining the world in its entirety, or focusing on the night sky, Biblical depictions of Heaven and Hell, pastoral landscapes, tropical paradises or dense forests, the artists invite us to take in the scenery and explore new frontiers. Works include painterly landscapes with collage by WILLIAM WEGMAN, JOSH DORMAN, RAVEN SCHLOSSBERG and MAX GREIS; a vibrantly colored mappamondo of melted Crayola crayons by the late BARTON LIDICÉ BENEŠ (1942-2012), a large-scale puzzle “painting” by AL SOUZA; postcard collages by Swiss artist duo KUEHNE / KLEIN; inlaid constellation works by MATTHEW CUSICK; intricately wrought floating environments by NANCY BAKER and MARITTA TAPANAINEN; surreal landscapes by DON JOINT and JAVIER PIÑÓN; HOLLI SCHORNO’s multi-paneled mechanized structures; and photo-collages by THERESA GANZ and DODI WEXLER.

SUMMER HOURS: Monday – Friday, 11am-6pm
