Kindergarten presents 40 works on paper dating from the late 19th through early 20th century using the Frederich Froebel “kindergarten” learning system. Taught extensively throughout Europe and the United States, the colors, patterns, and structures of kindergarten helped lay the foundation for Cubism, De Stijl, and Bauhaus. The art, architecture, and designs of Walter Gropius, Le Corbusier, Georges Braque, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian and Frank Lloyd Wright reflect the influence of kindergarten. Opening Reception Thursday, Sept. 6, 6-8PM
