Alli Uccelli e Al Lupo: The Birds and The Wolf video installation and exhibit is inspired by a performance piece based on two episodes from I Fioretti, the story of Saint Francis’ life: Francis speaking to the birds about freedom and Francis taming the wolf who is killing the sheep of Gubbio. The two quotidian movement pieces theatricalize the mundane things people do when no one is looking and create the breathing space between the everyday and the fantastical.

Artist Bio: Pioneers Go East Collective – PGEC is a collective of international performing artists dedicated to creating accessible and intimate theater installations that incorporate emotional sound-scapes and surreal visual landscapes with original poetry, music, choreography, design, art and live video to evolve a universal language of performance that pushes the boundaries of theater and engages new audiences.
