Why collaborate now?
When individual authorship is relinquished in favor of collaboration the field of possibilities can expand. Historically some artists have sought a collective presence in response to existing political structures, while others have worked collectively to bring art closer to everyday life by emphasizing the social dynamic of collaboration. COLLABORATE NOW is a survey of current projects by Pratt MFA students, which examines the reasons why artists choose to COLLABORATE NOW.
