Featuring: Gregory Jacobsen, Jason Jägel, Peter LaBier, Andy Messerschmidt and Shiri Mordechay

Gregory Jacobsen received his B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His exhibitions in Chicago have been reviewed in the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun Times, the Chicago Reader, and Time Out Chicago.

Jason Jägel received his M.F.A. from Stanford University and a B.F.A. from the California College of Arts and Crafts, where he currently teaches. In addition to numerous fellowships, residencies, and public projects, he has designed album covers for MF Doom and Stones Throw Records.

Peter LaBier received his B.A. in studio art at Vassar College. His work was included in the 2004 Evanston Art Center Biennial in Illinois, and in 2005 he participated in the Cooper Union School of Art Summer Residency Program. He lives and works in Brooklyn, and with Jägel is making his Plane Space debut with this exhibition.

Andy Messerschmidt received his M.F.A. from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and now lives and works in Ely, Minn. on the boundary waters. He has shown extensively in the Midwest, in addition to exhibitions in New York, Hawaii, and Japan.

Shiri Mordechay was born in Israel, raised in Nigeria and resides in New York. She received her B.F.A. in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute and currently attends The School of Visual Arts, anticipating her M.F.A. in 2006. She studied fine arts at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv. Her New York solo debut at Plane Space in 2005 was reviewed in Art in America.
