Jeffrey Teuton’s work is a fusion of pop culture, architecture, icons, fame, power, money, sex, and shopping. He channels his commentary and criticism of contemporary consumer culture (and his own complicity and pleasure in it) via status-obsessed birds who voice their designer desires and Hollywood dreams in thought bubbles strewn across abstracted landscapes.
Born and raised in Indiana, Teuton studied printmaking at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston as well as ESAD in Strasbourg, France. He lives and works in New York.
