Shimon Okshteyn is known for his paintings and sculptures of ordinary household objects. In his new body of work, Okshteyn, no longer relegated to the traditional confines of the canvas, creates sculptural paintings combining two-dimensional interpretations of well-known Dutch and Flemish master still-lifes with three-dimensional objects rescued from mass culture.
